[Photo] McDonald’s to sell special Korean beef burgers for Pyeongchang Olympics

On Nov. 21, Pyeongchang Olympics Organizing Committee President & CEO Lee Hee-beom, McDonald’s Korea CEO Cho Ju-yeon, and Kim Young-pyo, Chairman of the Pyeongchang-Yeongwol-Jeongseon Agricultural Cooperative, announced an agreement for McDonald’s to sell Hanwoo (special Korean beef) burgers during the Winter Olympics. In addition, the Agricultural Cooperative will provide safe and hygenic beef to be used as a food for the Olympic village, and the Organizing Committee will work to expand the market for Korean beef. Since the end of last year, the cows have been raised at 700 meters above sea level and fed high quality grasses in order to ensure an excellent product.
