The Korean Series of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) between Kia Tigers and Doosan Bears opened in Gwangju’s Kia Champions Field on Oct. 25. President Moon Jae-in threw out the first pitch before Game 1 of the best-of-seven series. As candidate, Moon had promised to throw out the first pitch for whichever team came first in the drive to encourage voting in the presidential election. As part of the campaign, citizens uploaded photos of themselves after voting in the election onto then-candidate Moon’s website along with their favorite baseball team.
The Bears won the game 5-3. (provided by Blue House)
